Vertical Pump Series

What is a Vertical centrifugal pump?

Vertical centrifugal pumps are a type of pump used to move liquids through a piping system. As the name suggests, these pumps use centrifugal force to move the liquid.

Vertical centrifugal pumps are designed with a vertical shaft and an impeller, which is mounted on the top of the shaft. The impeller is responsible for creating the centrifugal force that moves the liquid. As the impeller rotates, it creates a vacuum at the inlet of the pump, which draws the liquid into the pump. The impeller then forces the liquid out of the pump and into the piping system.

High Quality Plastic Vertical Pump Manufacturers and Suppliers

QEEHUA PUMP’s plastic vertical pumps are designed with high quality corrosion resistant materials such as PVDF, GFRPP and CFRPP. These materials are known for their excellent chemical resistance, ensuring that our vertical pumps are reliable, long lasting and efficient even in the harshest environments. PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a thermoplastic fluoropolymer that is highly resistant to chemicals, abrasion and UV radiation. GFRPP (glass fiber reinforced polypropylene) and CFRPP (carbon fiber reinforced polypropylene) are engineered composites that combine the lightweight properties of polypropylene with the added strength and stiffness of glass or carbon fibers.

These materials allow us to produce high quality vertical pumps that meet the stringent requirements of the chemical industry, while ensuring superior performance and durability.

Vertical pumps are commonly used to transfer chemical liquids due to their ability to handle corrosive and abrasive fluids, as well as their space-saving design. They are often preferred over horizontal pumps as they require less floor space and can handle higher flow rates with less maintenance. Additionally, their vertical orientation allows for easy access to the pump’s impeller and motor for maintenance and repairs.

QEEHUA PUMP’s vertical pumps are typically used in processes such as chemical transfer, filtration and circulation. They are also used in wastewater treatment, acid transfer and other corrosive liquid handling processes. The versatility and reliability of our vertical pumps make them an excellent choice for a wide range of applications in the chemical industry.

Questions about vertical pumps

What is a vertical cantilever pump?

A vertical cantilever pump is a type of centrifugal pump that is designed with a long vertical shaft that is supported by a bearing located above the liquid being pumped. The impeller is mounted at the lower end of the shaft and is submerged in the liquid. Unlike traditional centrifugal pumps, the vertical cantilever pump does not require a support bearing at the lower end of the shaft, which eliminates the need for a mechanical seal, packing or lubrication, and reduces the risk of leakage. This design is particularly useful in applications where the liquid being pumped is corrosive, abrasive or contains solids. The vertical cantilever pump is commonly used in chemical processing, mining, wastewater treatment, and other industrial applications. It is known for its reliability, low maintenance requirements, and ability to handle challenging fluids.

Why do we use vertical pumps?

When you have a limited surface area and need a pump with a much smaller footprint, vertical centrifugal pumps are sure to take up less floor space.

What is the difference between a horizontal centrifugal pump and a vertical pump?

The main difference between vertical and horizontal centrifugal pumps is the orientation of the shaft. For vertical centrifugal pumps, the shaft is in a vertical position with the motor, while for horizontal centrifugal pumps, the shaft is usually placed horizontally between the bearings or overhanging.
